It has three bedrooms and three bathrooms on the lower floor and two bedrooms and one bathroom on the upper floor. In the middle floor is a wonderful double height kitchen / dining area and the living room around the open fire place. Large sliding doors open up to the balcony around the chalet offering views across the valley. The kitchen offers you everything you need including a Nespresso machine, American fridge, conventional and microwave oven and dishwasher. The separate office space has an iMac computer for your use while the mezzanine offers a separate place for the kids to watch DVDs or hook up their own game consoles to a widescreen TV. On top of that, two of the bedrooms have their own TV with DVD player. A washing machine, dryer and ironing equipment is available in the chalet for your use if needed. Around the chalet La Tzoumaz' new telecabine, at 300 meters from the chalet, brings you from 1550m to 2350m on Savoleyres mountain in only 8 minutes. From here, you can ski down directly into Verbier, La Tzoumaz, or into the magnificent larger Quatre Vallees area. With 410 km of runs and 89 lifts, the 4 Vallees area is infinite. Its reliable snow cover and altitude (Mont Fort glacier 3330m) makes it one of the best skiing resorts in the world. Open from end of November until end of April, it links the resorts of La Tzoumaz, Verbier, Nendaz and Veysonnaz. La Tzoumaz itself is famous for its family friendly skiing area, including a great ski-school with lessons for all levels and ages, and its immense 10km long sledge run from Savoleyres mountain down into La Tzoumaz. For the non-skiers, the area offers superb snow shoe trails to enjoy the surroundings. The village center has a few (ski-)shops, a supermarket and several restaurants. Chalet Chaupine is most practical if you have a car. The 300 meter walk up the hill with ski gear to the ski lift is doable for adults but not easy for younger children. Good skiers can then ski back from the slopes to the chalet. If you prefer to take the car, the easiest is to drive to the large free parking above the beginners area, from where you step onto the slopes directly.
